Do you love both art and nature; are you looking for a job which will shed the light on your talent and aptitudes for the industry? Then join us and become a florist, a trade where full employment is guaranteed!
The School of Floral Art was founded in 2003. It provides high-quality courses in floral art and design, as well as training to become a florist or assistant-florist. The program is offered at beginner, intermediate and advanced levels.
The Basic Course lasts 40 hours over a period of 5 weeks. It takes place twice a week and lasts 4 hours (flexible timetables : day or evening). Each class consists of 2 hours of theory and 2 hours of practice. The Basic Course gives an accurate picture of the trade – which is much more complex than simply buying, arranging and selling flowers. You will discover that behind the beauty hides a philosophy. Through the construction and analysis of various flower arrangements, the course will allow you to comprehend how and why things are done the way they are.
Courses are given either privately or in small groups. The personalized advice provided in such a learning environment allows the participants to progress and evolve very quickly.
All necessary materials are included in the cost. Participants get to take the arrangements home with them. They can also participate in on-the-job projects such as weddings or corporate events.
The goal of the floral arts course is to provide the key elements needed to create original compositions emphasizing the simple beauty of flowers. The classes are intended for every profile: florists, decorators, flower arrangement aficionados; for those who would like to become professional florists, assistants, who wish to learn new techniques or open their own boutique. Students receive a certificate at the end of the course.
The advanced and intermediate classes focus on a more advanced exploration and an in-depth study of the trade. Students are encouraged to make full use of their imagination and creativity, while being guided by their sense of balance and perspective.
The School of Floral Art is always on the lookout for new trends; it will grant you a keen eye for the competition in today’s florist industry.
